"Not by the seaside. Rai startled me, and I nearly teetered off the cliff, but he grasped me just in time," Scout explained.

"I'm relieved," Guardian replied.

Their journey halted, and Scout struggled to raise his head to meet Guardian's gaze. Dusknoir was an imposing figure, broad and dark, despite his Ghost-type nature. Muscles were clearly defined in his arms, his belly moved gently with each breath, and the ethereal tail end of his body danced in the wind. The existence of such a creature was truly peculiar, yet there he stood.

Guardian broke the silence. "You ever find yourself wanting to talk to someone so badly, envisioning all the things you'd say, they'd say, and then when the moment arrives, you can't think of a single word?"

Scout chuckled in agreement. "Yeah, I've been there."

Guardian nodded and descended slightly, allowing his spectral form to meld with the ground, making their conversation more intimate.

"I..." Guardian began, but once more, words eluded him.

Their interactions over the past two months had been anything but silent. They exchanged polite greetings and engaged in distant conversations. They shared friendly good mornings and wished each other pleasant days. However, the presence of Rai, Mane, Striker, Sean, Saniya, and the others often filled the void with laughter and chatter.
